BEST BEARD AND HAIR COMBINATIONS FOR 2016

UNDERCUT AND BEARD

Beard and undercut
An undercut can help make thick hair manageable and easier to deal with in the summer months while still giving you some long hair versatility. The undercut can be worn very long on top or more moderate lengths; it is entirely up to the individual. As long as there is a long top and shorter bottom then you have an undercut. A lot of guys are keeping their beards less than 10 inches long that are choosing this style.

FADE AND MEDIUM BEARD

fade and medium beardA fade can allow you to get creative with a stunning transition to your beard. This can look good no matter what the length of your top hair. A fade is a type of undercut but it takes it to a different level. This works well for guys that are comfortable with a more edgy look that attracts a lot of attention. These type of cuts can be very intricate and artistic if you want them to be. Expect to pay more for a style that is custom for you.

GOATEE AND MEDIUM LAYERSmedium length and goatee

A choppy and shaggy cut reminiscent of the Beatles with a goatee can be a manly look that is easy to maintain and appropriate for any workplace. Layers can frame your face for a classy yet rustic look. Some are even choosing to let layers extend and fade down the nape of the neck.

SHORT AND MESSY WITH LIGHT BEARD

short and messy
The rustic look is definitely in but not all of us necessarily want the volume of hair required for some of the popular beard and hair combinations on the fashion runways. You can dress up this style a lot of ways such as parting your hair differently, spiking it, or creating textured waves.  A light beard can just be stubble from a few weeks of not shaving or a stylish goatee.

The Tulle Overdress Is the Year’s Unlikeliest, Most Tempting Trend

Miuccia Prada’s ankle-length ballerina skirt for Miu Miu was accessorized with ballet slippers and a crown.

What’s fluffy, sheer, and looks like spun sugar? Potentially your next big purchase. Just when we thought we’d tried every layering trick in the book, the tulle overdress—worn on top of jeans, slips, and everything in between—emerged as one of the most unexpected trends in recent memory. At Miu Miu Spring ’16, frothy clouds of tulle lent an off-kilter, sticky-sweet vibe to Miuccia Prada’s twisted coats and negligees. Fast-forward to Pre-Fall and Stella McCartney’s take was just as surprising: Among her signature pantsuits and plush knits were ruched, featherweight tulle frocks haphazardly layered over brocade pants. But it’s London designer Molly Goddard we can credit for initially turning us on to “tulle toppers”: While studying at Central Saint Martins, she debuted a collection of ruched and smocked tulle creations inspired by baby dresses. “I still have loads of the clothes I wore as a child,” Goddard tells Vogue.com. “I blew up photos of dresses on the photocopier and made patterns from that—I love the strange proportions.” Whether you’re channeling your childhood dress-up days or just want to impart your look with something sweet, find inspiration in the 10 best looks above.

Puffed Loop Braid

Puffed Loop Braid | Boho HairstylesBrooklyn’s curly hair texture adds quite a bit of volume to the braid, and pancaking it gives the hairstyle a very bohemian feel. Once you get the braid stitching down, you can complete this look in very little time!

If you do not have naturally curly hair, or some with a little wave in it, that is OK… feel free to add light curl/waves to the hair using a wand or waver. The curls are what helps add enough texture to the hair to give the style its volume.
Puffed Loop Braid | Boho HairstylesWe hope you enjoyed this tutorial! This Puffed Loop Braid is another braid style that can be dressed up or down, depending on the event you are attending. We also recommend that it not be worn during an active day, given that it is only secured by bobby pins.
Girls love braids like this, because they look effortless and complicated all at the same time! Only you know that you spent only 5-8 minutes on it!
Items Needed: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, 10-12 small bobby pins, hairspray {if desired}.
Time Requirement: 7-8 minutes
Skill Level: Medium

MEN’S HAIRSTYLE TRENDS FOR 2016

MEN’S HAIRSTYLE TRENDS FOR 2016

The year is young but the ever evolving world of men’s hair moves fast. Trends come and go quickly which is why we’re always committed to bring you the best and latest mens hairstyles of 2016 as soon as possible.

1. WAVY / HIGH VOLUME UNDERCUT WITH A TAPER

wavy undercut taper
This variation of the undercut  features a fade and taper followed by much longer hair on top (longer than a classic undercut for sure) giving it a wavy and volumized look. To properly achieve this look you will need to get comfortable with a hair dryer, brush and your favorite matte pomade.

2. BUZZED SKIN FADES

short fade hairstyle
We will definitely see more close shaved hairstyles in 2016. Men’s hair is like a pendulum, 2015 was filled with longer hair trends like the man bun and top knot, but it will swing back to more contemporary buzzed styles like fades and high and tights.

3. BUSINESS SAVVY

When you think of the word ‘business savvy‘ the image that pops up in most people’s head is one of a man in a sleek suit and a nice head of hair neatly combed back akin to Patrick Bateman from American Psycho. Achieve this look by growing your hair out to medium length whilst maintaining the back and sides with regular trimmings.

4. MODERN SIDE PART

One of my favorite things about men’s hair last year was the resurgence of classic haircuts like theside part. This sleek style will still be going strong in 2016 just because it’s such a timeless look itnever really went out of style but it’s even more in style now.

5. THE SWOOP

We got a taste of this hairstyle when Justin Bieber showcased a more ‘out there’ variation of the cut recently. I absolutely love this style and think we will be seeing a lot more of it as the year goes on. It’s a great hybrid of the classic 90’s curtained cut and more modern hairstyles to give it a fresh feeling. Love it

SELENA GOMEZ GAVE A CRAZY-PROVOCATIVE PERFORMANCE ON 'SNL

Selena Gomez isn't holding back on her way to becoming Hollywood's sexiest new It girl. The singer was the musical guest on last night's episode of Saturday Night Live and her performance of "Hands to Myself" was both smoldering and a little shocking.
Gomez sang her provocative single wearing a slinky black slip on a large bed in the middle of the stage. Then, as the song suggests, she definitely could not keep her hands to herself. Two other dancers joined the pop star in the bed in a choreographed routine that felt decidedly suggestive of a ménage à trois.

BEYONCÉ REPORTEDLY DELAYING ALBUM RELEASE BECAUSE OF ADELE

If the Beyhive is to believe all the kindness that's been reported about their Queen in recent weeks (mostly about how she is the reason for Rihanna's success), try this on for size too: Insiders tell The Sun (via the Daily Mail)that Beyoncé has delayed the release of a new album so Adele can enjoy her success a little longer. According to one source, Bey's sixth studio album wrapped late last year but due to a "code of honor to Adele," she'll hold off until the hype dies down. If the report is true, it would be really nice of Adele's success to taper off around Feb. 7. That's when Bey will hit the stage with Coldplay during the Super Bowl 50 halftime show. Hopefully, Rihanna will also show up and they can announce their respective new albums together. Hooray for kindness!
